Real or hype?

I'm Tim — I like checking things. I build projects and communities, and I love creating educational material along the way.

I'm endlessly curious about the latest science in three fields I know from the inside: endurance sports — my educational background, and I competed for years myself; paramedical science — where scientific methodology shaped both my studies and my career path; and investing — 20+ years of hands-on experience.

What drives me: sharing evidence-based information in plain language.

How I got here

Most of my life has circled around three things: endurance sports (I raced for years), health science (methodology became my daily work), and investing (20+ years and counting).

Late 2025 I typed my first prompt into an AI coding assistant, just to see what would happen. I got hooked. Turns out building things is addictive when the distance between an idea and something that works is measured in evenings, not years.

So now I build. And because of my background, I can't help checking things while I build: what's real, what's hype? That question is the thread through everything on this page.

The journey so far

Most projects don't have names on this page yet — I'll introduce them properly when the time is right. The first one is below ↓

What I'm building

What actually makes you faster

This one started with me. I'm an endurance athlete myself — cycling is my sport — and with my background in sports science I've always been fascinated by training methods and by every new material and piece of equipment that promises something. I finally found the time to share that passion with other people.

So I take the big promises — shoes, gear, training, fuelling — and dig into what the research actually shows. No hype, no sponsors, no gear kickbacks. There are free tools too, and every number shows where it came from.

When I'm not building

You'll find me on a bike or on a trail — cycling and hiking are how I reset. I read too; last year's favourite was Dan Brown's The Secret of Secrets. Norway gave me the best hike of my life and two weeks of rain. Worth it.
